Amsterdam, March 7, 2023 /Nostics Press release/ — Forbes unveiled its annual 30 under 30 Europe List 2023 today, naming Nostics cofounder and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) Rochelle Niemeijer as honoree for the Healthcare domain.
Each year, Forbes compiles a list of 30 of the top entrepreneurs, game-changers, and influencers under the age of 30, across 20 categories. “From improving surgery to creating algal biofactories to making AI better diagnose disease, this year’s 30 Under 30 Europe list in Science & Healthcare is full of innovators across a wide variety of fields”, according to Forbes.
Honorees are selected by Forbes editors and celebrity judges out of tens of thousands of applicants nominated worldwide. Previous alumni include the founders of Instagram, Spotify and Stripe. In the Netherlands we celebrated honoree Max Verstappen (2018) and the founders of Ticketswap (2018), Seepje (2018) and Otrium (2019), amongst others.
When asked for her thoughts on her nomination Rochelle said: “I am very proud to be selected by Forbes and grateful to be provided a platform to talk about the need for rapid diagnostics! However, I would never have gotten this far without my team at Nostics. Together, we built our lab from scratch and after the many challenges we faced, this is as much their achievement as it is mine. I am so thankful for their unwavering support and for believing in me and our research!”.
Rochelle is currently in Abu Dhabi as speaker at the Forbes 30/50 Summit, celebrating international Women’s day with some of the world’s most powerful women, including Hillary Clinton and Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine, presenting the 30 under 30 Forbes list today.
